Day 01 PICK UP FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

Trip 15 days Marrakech to Merzouga, Our assistant will be waiting for you at the airport to pick you up and take you to the hotel near the famous Jamaa Elfna square.

Day 02 MARRAKECH – ESSAOUIRA

Departure at 8:30 am Your transportation will pick you up at your Riad or Hotel. As we move away from Marrakech, we enter the more rural Morocco where the fields and small towns along with large desert esplanades accompany us all the way.

After approximately 90 km, we propose a stop at a female cooperative to see the demonstration of the local women preparing the Argan oil or resting taking an Arab Coffee. Protected by imposing French walls of the 18th century, the «Pearl of the Atlantic» opens its doors, with its pedestrian streets that let us enjoy its colorful trade and a charming fishing port, we will eat (free choice) if we fancy fresh fish in a authentic and maritime environment.

Its medina was declared a World Heritage Site in 2001 by UNESCO and is also famous for its fine crafts, its beaches attract surfers, artists and hippies. Dinner and accommodation in Riad / Hotel.

Day 03 ESSAOUIRA – CASABLANCA- RABAT

Breakfast and departure to visit the city of Rabat. Capital of the Kingdom of Morocco since 1912. The visit begins with the precincts where the Royal Palace is located. «Give the Makhzen.» Spectacular set of buildings of beautiful design that houses a palace of modern construction, a large mosque built by the «Men of Fez» and various government buildings. Later we will visit the Kasbah of the Oudaias and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V. Day 04 RABAT – ASSILAH

After breakfast, we continue along the coast and continue our route to Asilah, jewel of Hispano-Moorish architecture. The small and discreet city of Asilah is asleep behind its blue, green and yellow doors. Asilah was Roman, Spanish, and Portuguese. Protests, towers and proud walls allow today to make peaceful walks at the edge of the sea, as well as to taste exquisite fish fry in its renowned restaurants. Dinner and accommodation in Riad / Hotel.

Day 05 ASSILAH – TANGER – CHEFCHAOUEN

After breakfast we leave for Tangier, where we will make stops and panoramic visits to the city. We will continue the trip getting into the Rif and arriving in Xaouen in the afternoon. We will make a couple of stops to rest and enjoy the scenery. We will arrive in Chefchaouen, its name literally means «observe the summits», strolling through its old Medina with Andalusian influences is a delight for the senses, the play of lights and blue colors is fascinating, its streets are alive with every corner and tranquility and hospitality of its inhabitants is exemplary Dinner and accommodation in Riyadh.

Day 06 CHEFCHAOUEN – FEZ

After breakfast, we will have free time to visit the city before leaving for Fez, a beautiful city founded in the 8th century. Fez is the oldest of the Moroccan imperial cities, with a medina that takes us to the 13th century, with artisans grouped by streets and activities reminiscent of the old guilds, coexisting with the peasants who, fleeing the drought of recent years, they arrive here. Accommodation in Riyadh.

Day 07 FEZ

Full day devoted to the discovery of the intellectual city of the kingdom. Visit the labyrinthine medina of Fez (walled ancient city) with local guide of Spanish speaking.

The traveler comes to look for the treasure of a civilization, the inexhaustible wealth of a generous and varied life up to the profusion, where the Sensuality of the sun reigns, of the colors, of the flavors. In Fez you will find, with security, everything you love. Here no one knows where the pleasure of the spirit ends and where the sense begins.

Day 08 MERZOUGA

After breakfast we will head to Merzouga crossing the Middle Atlas, mountain range that extends 350 kilometers from the southwest to the northwest of the country. On the way we will pass through Azrou one of the most famous Berber cities of Morocco and Midelt. We will cross the Valley and the Gorges of Ziz all the time accompanied by a beautiful landscape dotted with nomadic peoples.

On the way we will stop for lunch and we will continue to Merzouga, arrival at the hotel and a well deserved mint tea !! Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 09 MERZOUGA – ERG CHEBBI

We discovered the desert and the tracks that used in the «Rally Paris-Dakar». We visit the dunes, the oases of Merzouga, the nomadic lands, the village of Khamlia (where blacks live from Mali), the Mifiss mines, the desert plateaus, the nomadic Berber fields, and the Tissadmine oasis.

We will return to the hotel and at dusk, we will enter the desert on the backs of our dromedaries contemplating one of the most beautiful sunsets we have seen, until the Berber camp in the heart of the dunes, where we will live an unforgettable experience tasting its gastronomy, sharing its customs, enlivened by his music and his people at the feet of Erg Chebbi.

We will make night under a blanket of stars.

Day 10 MERZOUGA – RISSANI – TODRA GRGANTAS – GORGES OF DADES

We have to get up early and climb the large dune, which is around the camp to enjoy the sunrise and this relaxing landscape that nature offers, we will return in camels to the town of Merzouga. After a rich breakfast, we have to say goodbye to the desert and we will leave for Rissani where we will visit its market (if we are lucky it will be one of the days of the Market: Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday).

We will follow the path to Erfoud where there is also the possibility of visiting the fossilized marble factory before continuing to the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. Later we will arrive at one of the strongest points of the High Atlas; The Gorges of Todra.

The channel of the Todra River has formed a defile of vertical walls of enormous proportions and of great beauty; It is a paradise for climbers and a unique place. Lunch on the site and a hard but recommendable walk to enjoy the Gorges with detail.

Later we will continue to the Dadès Valley, also known as the Valley of Figs, passing by Boumalne Dadés. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 GORGES OF THE DADES – THE KALAA M’GOUNA- SKOURA – OUARZAZATE

After a delicious breakfast, we left for the Dades Valley for the «Route of the Thousand Kasbahs». We will visit the Gorges of Dades, then we will follow a road that leads us to the roses, thousands and thousands of roses that perfume The Kelaa M’Gouna, the most beautiful of the rose gardens of the valley where, in the month of May the festival is celebrated of the roses. Dances and cavalcades follow each other under an uninterrupted shower of petals.

Did you know that it takes a ton of petals to get a liter of rose extract ?. We will pass through SKoura, which is a large palm grove, and the state of the majority of the casbae that were concentrated in that palm grove, are in a depleted state, the most important of which is Amerhidil, visit the Kasbah and then we will continue to address Ouarzazate Visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and in the afternoon we will end up in a Berber village where we will spend the night and we will have the opportunity to do a Moroccan cooking class.

Day 12 OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH

Breakfast and departure to Marrakech, crossing the Tzn Tizka pass, at an altitude of 2,260 meters, the «pass of the pastures», the highest pass of the roads of Morocco.

Although subjected to very violent winds, the high meadows perched on the slopes of the High Atlas serve as pastures in summer. En route we will visit the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is undoubtedly the best preserved fortified town (ksar).

Arrival in Marrakech late / night. Accommodation in Riyadh.

DAY 13 MARRAKECH

A day dedicated to the visit of the red city, Marrakech. Our guide accompanies you to discover the medina, starting with the gardens of the Menara with its pond, the Saadian tombs where the founders of the city are found, the Bahia Palace, residence of the former vizier; the Koutobia, splendid minaret, to finish in the unspeakable Plaza of Djemaa El Fna, in the morning a great souk and in the night a magical spectacle. Accommodation in Riyadh.

DAY 14 EXCURSION TO OUZOUD WATERFALLS

Departure at 8 am for the most famous waterfalls in Morocco, located near a village with the same name. Its impressive 100 meters high are those that give strength to the waters of el-Abid. We will go through different towns, enjoying their life and landscapes. Once we get to the Cascades they will have free time to enjoy nature (it is common to find small monkeys). We will eat at the chiringuitos with views of the fantastic waterfalls and if we have heat, the traditional dip in the river, we will not be the only ones.

Return in the afternoon to Marrakech at 6pm where your transportation will be waiting for you.

DAY 15 DEPARTURE FROM MARRAKECH

Breakfast and free time until the time of transfer to the airport.
